The chalky, mineral Siglos site is well exposed to the north, guaranteeing cool nights. This ensures wines of fresh, subtle aromas, full of finesse. The steady winds also dry the grapes off quickly after every rainfall making this an ideal site for Pinot.
The vine are 32 – 55 years old and are planted on calcareous loam soils.
The grape harvest began on September 19th by hand. The wine underwent traditional fermentation in stainless steel tanks with regular punching down of the cap. Malolactic conversion took place in oak barrels. The wine then matured for 20 months in 500L barrels and remained in large wooden casks until bottling.

CRITIC RATINGS
93 FalstaffThe wine is dark ruby with purple highlights. The aromas are an inviting blend of ripe red cherries, sandalwood spice, and red plums, with a subtle caramel note towards the finish. The juicy mouthfeel is none-the-less elegant, with velvety tannins and a long-lasting, fruit driven finish.
Pairs well with wildfowl, pheasant or red meat dishes.
