The vineyard is subject to certified organic viticulture and is working manually throughout the year, including pruning, leaf management and harvest. Yields were capped at 30 hl/ha.
Ried Steinbach boasts many different microclimates, slope formations and soils. It is protected on all sides by meadows and woods that provide a key element of this multifaceted and thrilling single-vineyard site. The vines grow on the southwest facing slopes providing a regular crop of ripe, highly aromatic berries.
The grapes were hand harvested in the middle of October. After the gentle pressing of the whole grapes, the spontaneous fermentation occurred in large oak barrels and the wine was aged for 18 months on the lees before bottling.

This full-bodied Chardonnay displays aromas of ripe pear, elegant citrus and hints of nut and brioche. The rich, concentrated palate coats the mouth with flavour, whilst the fine acidity and salty minerality leave freshness throughout the long, lingering finish.
Pairs well with roasted white meats and vegetable purées.
